Thunder Breaks FAQ

  • Thunder Breaks live breaks are streamed once all spots are filled. Each break has 32 spots, one for each NHL team. Depending on the break type (Random Team or Pick Your Team), spots are either assigned via an online randomizer or you can choose your NHL team.

    Whenever a player from your team is pulled, you receive those cards. Bulk cards are not sent unless specifically requested — all extra bulk cards are donated to kids at events. You can buy multiple spots per break, and pricing varies depending on the type and number of cases being opened.

  • All cards are shipped shortly after the break. Each card is carefully sleeved and securely packed in a bubble mailer to ensure it arrives safely. Standard shipping does not include tracking, but premium shipping with tracking is available. If you pull a valuable card, we will reach out to coordinate safely sending it.

  • Thunder Breaks sells hockey card singles, sports cards, and trading card game (TCG) cards. Currently, we offer Pokémon singles, with One Piece TCG coming soon. Browse our website to purchase rare hits, rookie cards, or other collectible cards. International shipping may be available — check individual listings for details.

  • Spots and singles can be purchased directly on our website. We accept major payment methods for convenience and security. You can buy multiple spots in a break, and prices vary depending on the break type and pack/box value.

  • Pack battles are competitive live openings where collectors join to see who pulls the most valuable total from the box or pack being opened. The collector with the highest overall value wins the entire lot. Rare hits, highlights, and top pulls are showcased during the live stream for all participants.

  • While we specialize in NHL and hockey card breaks, Thunder Breaks also hosts live TCG breaks. Currently we offer Pokémon, and One Piece TCG is coming soon. As we expand, additional trading card games and collectible card types will be added.
